TVG,

You should at least try setting the player's speaker setup to all sats 'large' and sub 'on', or 'yes', whatever the case may be in the 2200.

Set the analog BM switch on the 950 to 'on'.

From a multi-channel digital mode, hit 'bypass'.

I'm sorry, I don't know what 'filter' means in the 2200's menu.

Some folks have had a reversal of polarity (or, a 180 degree phase shift to the SW output when in this configuration, so you might want to check that in your system).

The 950's 5.1 analog bypass mode for SACD/DVD-A MC audio, with it's analog BM engaged is it's strong point, IMO.

In fact, I let my player do all of the format decoding and play it through the 950 this way for all MC sources.

Set speaker levels in the player to '0', and calibrate levels in with the 950 calibration menu, using the 950's pink noise calibration tones (or outboard disc, if you prefer).

Then, level to your ears, per disc, using the 950's channel trim menu (which will also affect the calibration menu's levels).

Hope this helps. Let us know what discs you like, etc., if you don't mind.
