I made a recent trip to the Yukon territory for some sight seeing and got a really good deal on some Paradigm Monitor 9's, I was planning on the Monitor 7's but I couldn't pass up the deal. I'm currently runnig some Mini Monitors for mains, CC-370 for center, PS-1000 sub, and some BIC surrounds. I plan on moving the Mini Monitors to surround duty and usinig the Monitor 9's for mains. Do you think the 1050's 65 watts is enough for these large towers? Edit: Sensitivity -- Room / Anechoic 94dB / 91dB

While I myself, have no experience with paradigm speakers, it does seem to be one of the more popular brands around here. I'm running NHT supertwo's that have a very low sensitivity and my 1050 does just fine.
As has been said before, the amp section of the 1050 is alot more powerful than its 65-watt rating. I'm sure it will have no problem driving your speakers.

Your Paradigms are way more efficient than my NHT's. They are rated at 87db@1W. (a very inefficient speaker)
I wouldn't worry too much about the rated power of the speakers themselves. It is far more detrimental to a speaker to run too little power than to run too much. Since the 1050 probably puts out around 80 watts/channel and your speakers are fairly sensitive you shouldn't have problem.

I wouldn't worry about driving Monitor 9's and CC-370 with a 1050 -- I drove Paradigm Reference Studio/60's and a Studio/CC with a 1050 very comfortably.
