The 950's remote can learn the commands from the Denon's remote (as described on page 40 of the 950's manual). By teaching the 950's remote each individual command from the 2200's remote, you can set up the 950 remote's DVD device just the way you want it -- this is how I set up my MX-500 remote for all the devices it controls. It may seem more time consuming, but it can be easier to use in the long run and really doesn't take long.
Another suggestion that I regularly offer to new 950 owners is to check out the
SL-9000 manual online . This is the remote that Outlaw packages with the 950 (although they omit the LCD display and replace it with the red LED). This manual goes into greater detail about the full features of the remote. It also has a somewhat larger database of codes -- I just compared it to the 950's manual, and noticed that the one Denon DVD code in the 950 manual (014) might be expanded to include 007, 206, 207, and 080. One of those will probably work for the 2200.
