Hey Guys, I just hooked up my 950 to my 755 amp, I have my cd/dvd player hooked up with the optical input. I configured everything on the 950, following the manual, started playing a cd, and as the cd had played for about 20 seconds, I pressed the analog bypass and of course it stopped playing because i don't have the dvd player hooked up with analogs. But when i pressed the analog bypass button again, to go back to the digital output, i got no sound output. The display on the 950 was flashing the 44k sampling rate, and a message of input: s/pdif unlock (or something to that effect). Any ideas on what is going on here? Thanks, i would really appreciate it. By the way the analog inputs are working fine, so it had to be something with just the digital.

Place your 950 on CD, then press the Digital Select button on the preamp until you select the proper optical input. You should now have sound again.

Well, that made sense to try, and when i did it, it did play for about 15 seconds and then cut out again, then would come back on and cut out. It just keeps on doing that, i'm at a loss here. If you have any other ideas, let me know. If not, i guess i'll just give outlaw cust. support a call. Thanks alot.

Not that you want to hear this, but remove the volume knob and press the reset button. You might first want to write down all your settings since the 950 will default to its factory presets. Now see if the problem is resolved. If not, then it's time to call Outlaw.

I called outlaw, and they are sending a new 950, should get it today. i'll let ya know how that goes. thanks alot.

Well, I rec'd my new 950, and everything is working fine so far. So, i am a happy man again. Thanks for the help.
