I finally got my 950/775 setup... It's so sweet... My Polk RT55's never sound so good especially with the 20-39PCI... Just pure clean sweet music... The movies are even better.. Even my neighbors can feel all the rumbles.....

It IS remarkable, isn't it?

I had a pretty darn good separates system when I replaced my previous preamp with a 950. Even at that, however, I experienced significantly increased detail and clarity with the 950.

It really is the most extraordinary price/performance proposition in home theater.

Being the itchy fool I am, I just spent the morning disconnecting my Denon 260W monoblocks and hastily connecting some new Class D monoblocks (600W) I'm testing from England.

I say itchy because my new MC room isn't ready, and I was going to wait until then and do everything at once.

I ran through my SACD MC disc favs and just sat there with that same silly grin I've had since I first got my 950, only wider.

It just keeps gettin' better. It's the coolest little box in my racks.

I've installed a couple of 1050s for clients of mine. Jump the fence. You won't look back.

Rambilt...I hear ya, man. Congrats!

I owe it all to you Outlaw gunslingers!!! Now I need help on deciding which universal (SACD/DVD-A) player I should augment my 950/775. I'm thinking of the Denon 2200 but the Pioneer 563A price looks good. Anyone has any experienced with the Pioneer or Denon?

Thanks in advance....

You can get an idea of performance compared to other machines, along with a synopsis of features at this site:

I feel the same. Traded in my 1050 for 950/7100 combo and WOW. It's sounds like I upgraded my speakers and sub as well. Much cleaner and smoother. My wife even noticed how much better it sounds. I really like the 950 functions and features and on screen display.

Rambilt,

Congrats on the new 950/755 combo! They really are some great pieces of electronics.

Regarding the DVD players... The Pioneer is a good unit for the price and features. I haven't really heard anything about the Denon 2200 but I LOVE my 2900. The 2900 is built like a friggin' tank, it is a rock solid player, has an excellent picture, sounds great, and is FAST. One of my favorite features is the lack of layer changes, I haven't seen one since I bought this unit. I know it's not a big deal for some but the freeze that my Sony does every time it changes layers drives my nuts.

Alex
