I'm puzzled - if you haven't hooked them up yet does "way sweet" just mean they look nice?
When you do hook them up, give us a report on any improvement in the sound of your system, besides the 3-db level increase. I was using a pair with nOrh monoblocks from Thailand and was very pleased with the sound until one of the amps gave out over a year ago (still waiting for repairs but I'd better not get started on that!). My old reliable Adcom GFA535 doesn't have balanced inputs, and the Yaqin tube buffer that's now between the 990 and the amp (and giving the sound a lovely tube flavor) doesn't have them either, so I'm not in the balanced cable business any more. Anyone want to reimburse me for the postage on a pair of 1-meter balanced cables?

Well I may have been excited on the price I paid on 7 of them!!! As for a report seems to be much more detail in the vocals. I also hooked up my new Belkin PF60 at the same time as my cables. I have read many reports of the Outlaw amps giving off a bad or noticable hum, I guess I haven't had any symptoms as of yet. May be something to say about a dedicated circuit???? NO HUM NO BUM!

My Adcom - now old enough to drink if it were human - is hooked up to about the smallest size Panamax conditioner there is, and there's no hum. Maybe I should plug it directly into the AC and listen closely. Sorry to hear reports that Outlaw amps hum, 'cause the 990 sure doesn't.

There have been some reports of hum related to transformers humming, but I don't recall seeing much about speaker hum (outside of the usual ground loop sorts of issues).
