I've ordered a 990/7500 combo and trying to figure out what cables I need to order from Outlaw to connect it all together for a 5.1 set up. So far I think I need;
Sony CD/DVD-990 1.8m PDO
1.0m PDH
Motorola HD cable box-990 1.8m PDO
1.2m PDV
990-7500 5 of 1.5m frown PCB
990-sub 5.0m PCA
990-HDTV 3 3.8m PSC
3.0m PDH
Do I need audio cables from the 990 to the TV?? What am I missing?? Any help is appreciated.

Equipment;Sony SXRD KDS-R60XBR1
Sony CD/DVD DVP-NS975V
Motorola DCT6208 HD Cable Box
990/7500
POLK LSIC
POLK LSI9 F-L&R
POLK LSI15 S-L&R
POLK PSW1000 Sub.

You should run a PDH cable from your 990's DVI-out to your display to carry the video from the Sony DVD player and your HD cable box. I am curious as to why you are runing the 3 PDH cables from your 990 to you display? If it is for the OSD you can do that with one S-video or composite cable for a lot less money. Audio cables from your 990 to your display are not really necessary. It looks like you have thought this out really well.

I'm guessing that the Motorola box has a DVI output (hence the PDV cable). It sounds like you're fine on everything. As butchgo points out, the trio of PSC's are optional with the existing sources you have. For just access to the 990's menu, any composite or s-video cable will suffice. If you did go ahead and hook up the component video output of the 990 to the HDTV, you'll have the option of adding any analog video source later (composite, s-video, or component) without making any other changes.

Thanks for the advise. I ordered most of the cables from Blue Jeans as I could get them closer to the lengths that I needed, except the PDV and PDH I ordered from Outlaw. I don't like a lot of excess cable laying around.
The 990 & 7500 are due to arrive Monday. I haven't had the speakers hooked up yet so anxious to hear them. Thanks again.
