I have aquired two runs of cable for speakers 1 run of 4TC and 1 run of 8TC. When coming from my amps to my B&W 802D's. Which would be the best hook-up.
1. Twist all leads together and run as single run and the use pieces of the 8TC for jumpers.
2. Bi-Wire with 4TC on top and 8TC on Bottom.
3. Split leads evenly with 6 on top and 6 on bottom in Bi-Wire Configuration.

Most people I have asked says it dont matter.
Let's have some better suggestions and why's than that please.

Options 2 and 3 give the same basic overall wire gauge between amp and speakers, with option 2 giving the smaller share of the gauge for the high frequency and the larger gauge for the low frequency and option three giving the same gauge for each. What impact that may have is difficult to say - for typical speaker runs, I suspect that the 4TC already provides reasonably low resistance, such that there ought to be no or very little sonic impact. Likewise, option 1 puts the same equivalent wire gauge carrying the signal to one set of binding posts and a very short run of reasonably large wire to tie to the other set of posts. All three seem to be sound (no pun intended), reasonable choices.

Knowing how much of a pain it can be to dis- and re-connect cables when moving audio stuff around, I go with the adage that with all things being equal, the simplest answer is the best.

Being that I agree with gonk that all 3 are viable, I'd go with option 2 to keep it simple, plus I recall hearing that 4 top/8 bottom as a biwire mix before.

The distance of cable is 18ft each. Does this change anything?

Eighteen feet isn't exceedingly short, but considering the construction of the 4TC (effectively 2x13ga) and the 8TC (effectively 2x9ga) I would prefer not to un-braid them and re-combine. I'd also see no problem with the 4TC making one run - 13ga over that distance is plenty. I'd vote for option 2.

The Kimber 4 and 8TC cables are some of my long-time favorites.

I would run the 8TC to your 802s and save the 4TC for another stereo. Or try just the 4TC as you'll cut the capacitance in half.

I can see how it would be tempting to biwire. Hell, try it out! It might not sound too bad. If you do, keep the jumper on the negative posts connected. It's a tweek I read on the Cable Asylum that I found beneficial.

Do you mean to jump negative to negative. I took the 4tc back and got a equal length of 8tc still going to biwre but now with two 8TC instead of one 4tc and one 8tc.
