I have a pair of Monsoon speakers and subwoofer on my dell computer...the sound out of these things is incredible! however, i've never heard their home theatre models..i'm curious if anyone has them mated to their 1050! I have Klipsh RF-3's presently..however, if Monsoon sounds good as the computer speakers i have..they may be awesome H.T. speakers... www.monsoonaudio.com if you wanna read about them. thanks y'all [This message has been edited by MustangStallion (edited June 26, 2002).] [This message has been edited by MustangStallion (edited June 26, 2002).]

I've heard of Monsoon before, but never used them. Just a warning, though: it's not hard for PC speakers to sound "incredible." :-)

i suppose ur right I just figured that since they make a very awesome sounding PC set their H.T. models might be good too bad assumption i guess? Oh well, it was worth asking....audioreview.com has no slot for it yet.. thanks

Actually, those look like they could potentially be some nice speakers. I've never heard them, but the driver compliments look promising. Ribbons have a tendency to either sound really good, or really bad. If those are decent drivers (and I'm guessing they are, based on the "CES 2001 Best Of" branding), and the crossover is alteast semi-well designed, they could potentially be awesome sounding. Of course, you would have to take price into consideration here. I have no idea what a pair would set you back. They definitely are attractive speakers, if nothing else.

I can't give you a glowing review on their speakers since a only had about 5 minutes with them last winter when I was down in Chicago and didn't have anything to compare them to, they sounded ok if memory serves. I do have Monsoon computer speakers and have a Monsoon factory system in our VW and I'm very happy with both of them. I would say to comparison shop and make sure there is some sort of decent return policy just in case you don't like them.
