I noticed a site mentioned here at some point..Monoprice.com. The cables are very inexpensive it seems almost too inexpensive. What if anything would I sacrifice by using these cables. I will need to buy HDMI-DVI, component as well as 5.1 cables for my sacd player. It could save me hundreds getting it from this site. Any thoughts or reviews from those that have used monoprice.com

I picked up an optical cable and a stereo analog cable from Monoprice recently. The optical cable was of serviceable quality, but the analog cables were as flimsy as anything I've seen included with a cheap VCR - no shielding, small gauge. I think it varies depending on the cable, since mine were at the extremely low-cost end of the spectrum. You might also take a look at Blue Jeans Cable for the component and analog cables and Pacific Cable for the DVI/HDMI stuff.
I notice that RAM electronics has some (what looks like) quality built cables at relatively cheap prices, although the site seems slow. You'll find 5 ft digital audio cable w/locking RCAs for $13, and silver plated solid core HDMI 3ft for $30. Has anyone had any experience with these?
