I am looking at relatively less expensive interconnects than the Outlaw interconnects. Two that caught my eye were:

RADIO SHACK
Premium-quality Audio Patch Cable, 3-ft. Cable:
"Delivers high reliability and improved sound performance. Strong, flexible cable with double-shielding has a solid core cable with a high-performance, gold-plated RCA phono plug at each end"

RADIO SHACK
3-Ft. Gold Series Audio Cable
"Gold-series single cable with one RCA plug at each end. 24K gold-plated connectors reduces corrosion, substantially reduces signal loss and insures maximum performance."

1) Is an "audio patch cable" the same as an interconnect...i.e. to connect the 950 to the 7100?
2) Any suggestions/comments on the quality of these cables? I assume an interconnect is basically a RCA-RCA cable?
3) Anyone familiar with EFX AMM1.5C Interconnect Cables? The ones I saw were described as "Spiral-shielded iced, OFHC, clear interconnect cable terminated with EFX-2 frosted Apollo RCA connectors" and seem inexpensive $7 for 1.5 feet at Buy.com

Thanks in advance for your insights.

yep, but OUTLAWS don't use "patch cables" we use "INTERCONNECTS"

Something on the order of the AR higher grade cables, or Radio Shack's Gold cables would suffice for anything pretty much IMHO. Or move up to the Outlaws set, or even build your own for a lot less money, if you are so inclined.
there it is

would like to clarify that a typical "patch cable" is of low build quality, with less than ideal shielding and generally comes with a component of similiar quality, whereas "interconnects",,,well the skies the limit.every company has a reason why there's is the best(marketing has to justify the price tag!)but generally use better materials and designs.some boast the shielding some the connectors, obviously you are smart enough not to get caught up in the "cable wars".it wouldn't surprise me one bit if "MONSTER" made the "GOLD" cables, radio shack works like that.anybody know?
