AudioReview has added an review page for the PSSV S-video cables. I've got two of these on the way (they should arrive today), so I'll probably post a review in a couple weeks or so.

I have been waiting for someone to try the new PSSV S-Video cable and post their thoughts....I am probably going to order one too......it's gotta be worth every penny..... I have been debating between the BetterCable Silver Serpent or the Outlaw PSSV.......

Anyone else tried them????

I've got mine hooked up. Still haven't had a chance to really sit down and judge the difference, but my initial impression is that they look at least as good as the Silver Serpent (which I used previously). They feel a little better made than the Silver Serpent (probably due to the heavier connector bodies), and they are certainly less expensive (~$20-$30 less for comparable lengths). I'll post more once I've really had a chance to use them.

I finally wrote a review at AudioReview for the PSSV's. Bottom line: very well built, and very good video quality. While they're not a major jump in image quality over the BetterCable Silver Serpents that I was using previously, they are cheaper, feel better made, and seemed to offer a little better image quality on good DVD transfers (although they looked no different on more mundane source material).
