Can I connect an Onkyo DV-CP802 directly to an ICBM, and then to a 7100 amp? Audio analog out is 2V, 470ohm, but I don't really know what that means to the ICBM. Thanks!

The ICBM can easily accept the input from the Onkyo directly. The problem with this arrangement is a lack of volume control - a pre-amp is normally included in the chain because it regulates the source device's volume, and eliminating it leaves the system playing back at the full line level volume - which is likely louder than you want.

Silly me! I have not purchased separates before and forgot. No way you could classify me as an audiophile, huh?

I was looking to eliminate some redundancy and I never listen to radio. But I am sure that I need bass mgmt cause my mains and surrounds are three ways with 12" woofers in a relatively small room.

Guess I will look for a receiver with bass mgmt. Thanks for your reply!
