Ok here is what I am looking for. I run an ART DIO that I modded some time ago along with my outlaw 1050. When I run in direct mode to bypass the DAC in the outlaw. I have to use the r/l output to run my sub through. If I am correct then by going direct I also bypass the crossovers in the outlaw correct? My sub has a cross over, but I would like better control of my mains cross over points. Will the ICBM do this?

The ICBM was designed to go between analog sources and the direct inputs of the 1050(or any unit's 5.1 direct inputs) to apply analog bass management prior to feeding these direct inputs. So I guess the answer to your question is YES!

It took me a google search to find out exactly what your ART DIO was and what it was for, but I think I see what you're doing now. If you are looking to provide bass management for the two channel source that's running through the ART DIO without adding a second A/D/A conversion, you can pick up an ICBM. Just connect the left and right analog outputs of the ART DIO to the left and right main inputs of the ICBM, then connect the left and right outputs and the sub output of the ICBM to the 1050's six-channel direct analog input. You can then adjust the crossover point used for that source at the ICBM.

Basically what it is, is a DAC that people modify. The thing sounds amazing. But to use it I have to bypass the processing on the 1050. But I need to cross over the main speakers too.

So your saying that if I take the output from the dac and send it to the icbm, then from the icbm to the 1050 it should work?

Cause right now I am using the r/l of the 5.1 to play my bass, but i can't cross over the mains so my bass is doubling up some.

Yes, if you locate the ICBM between the ART DIO and the 1050 it can act as your bass management for that source. All other sources (the analog stereo inputs and the digital audio inputs) will continue to use the 1050's internal bass management.
