The wall wart for my second hand ICBM just died. Manual says 15V 300ma, but wall wart reads 16V 300ma??? Also, it doesn't mention the center pin - is it positive or negative?

I would lke to know so that I can go down to my local Rat Shack and purchase a replacement.

My system is now down as the ICBM functions as a crossover for my mains.

Thanks.

Rich B.

The manual should be correct, but apparently it can handle a slight range of input voltages -- I'd start out trying for a 15V 300ma, but if you find a 16V 300ma it should work too. I don't know about the center pin, though, sorry.

I checked my ICBM. CAREFUL! The wall wart output is AC not DC. Because of this, there will be no polarity issue regarding connector configuration.

I measured the output voltage of the wall wart while disconnected from the ICBM. The 'no-load' reading was 17.8VAC. The ICBM must be handling AC-to-DC conversion and voltage regulation internally, likely so the ICBM can easily have both positive and negative 15VDC supplies for the components internally. 15VAC @ 300mA is likely a minimum target voltage, not an absolute requirement. Obviously 16VAC @ 300mA works well.
