I just installed my 990/755 combo and I’m having some difficulty getting (or understanding maybe?) how the 12 volt trigger works with the 755. I followed the instructions to hook the system up but the 755 never appears to turn off when I shut down the 990. Plugged all the connections for the 990 in and cabled it to the 755 first. Plugged the power in to both units, pushed the power button on the 755 to on, plugged the 12 volt trigger into both and powered up the 990. This seemed to be exactly the sequence suggested in the manuals.
Is the green power light on the 755 supposed to stay on all the time? In my system, it never goes off and when I power the 990 back up, you can here it start through the speakers. So I don’t think the 755 is ever shutting off.

The power light on my 755 stays on all the time. You can hear the relays operate when the 990/950 triggers the 755.

Paratrooper, I can hear definitely hear a “pop” in my speakers when the 990 comes on. I wasn’t expecting this if the amp was coming on after it. Is that similar to your experience with this combo?

Bruce,
I do not hear any pop in my speakers. If I am standing near the 755 I can hear the power relay/s operate, turning on the 755.

Yeah, Paratrooper, that's what I thought you ment. There is definently a pop from the speakers so, I'll add it to the list of things to talk with tech support about. I can work around this using the switching in the Monster Power HTS3500.
