I just got a set of studio 60's and CC-470. I now need a Amp. Does anyone have any experience with these speakers hooked up to the 755? How do they sound? I've read some good reviews about this amp, but there is no way for me to hear them. So any info would be cool. Thank You

I used a Model 750 (165W/channel) to drive Studio 60/v2's and loved the combination. More recently, I moved the Studio 60's to M200 monoblocks (200W each, comparable to the 755) to replace some ailing surround back channel amplification and have remained very pleased. My center (a Studio CC/v2) is still on the Model 750 and still doing a great job. I'd cast a vote firmly in favor of the 755.

Thank You Gonk. I am only going to power the three front speakers with this amp. My rear are two Atoms that will be powered by my Yamaha RXV-730. These have a max power handling of 80 and I'm concerned that I will blow them if I hook them up to the 755. That being the case, I was thinking about getting 3 M200's. Do these amps sound better then the 755? Why would people buy separate amps like this and not just get a 2 channel amp?

My reply from another post:

I use 5 M-200's in my set-up. The advantage for me is that I can split them between two racks with the stereo pair near the front speakers and the other three on a seperate rack. It also allows me to only run the front two channels when I listen to stereo and only fire up the center and surround channels when necessary. Not really a big deal compared to using a 755. the other reason I am using the M-200's is because I received my first one free in the Outlaw's contest laugh
