I understand that ati manufactures outlaws amps. Is there any significant difference between these two similarly rates amps? the ati is ~1000 more expensive.

Yes, there is. In the case of ATI, you get to go down to your friendly corner A/V store and deal with a person face to face who may or not be there the next time you go in.

In the case of Outlaw, you get to deal with people over the phone or through e-mail who fall over themselves to accommodate you at a fraction of the cost.

That's pretty much it. Looks like the same 60 lb. amp to me.
