Ok, here is a quick question. I just got my 755, and everything is set up. I have my Denon AVR 2400 acting as my pre/pro (upgrade coming later) and the 755 as my amp. The trouble is that the 2400 does not have a remote trigger for the 755 to use. IT does have 2 standard "triggered power" slots, those like a normal outlet. My question is how do I get to use those outlets so that they can trigger the 755. I have searched the old posts, but can not find anything on an AC trigger device. Does anyone know a radioshack part number or some other work around? Thanks

Outlaw could tell you for sure very quickly. The Model 750 manual included a Radio Shack part number, but that part number is no longer available. The 755 manual specifies that you need an AC adapter rated for anywhere from 6V to 12VDC with a 3.5mm mini plug. For example, there is this 6V adapter at Radio Shack (the store will give you your choice of one connector plug free if you buy it in the store). There's also a 12V adapter and a few others in between. ------------------ gonk -- Saloon Links | Pre/Pro Comparison Chart | 950 Review

Please see page 8 of the 770/755 Owner’s Manual, also available online, under the title “Remote Turn on Using External AC to DC Power Converter.” Note that the output of the converter needs to be DC and between 6 and 12 volts. Current requirement would be minimal.

Thanks for the help. I looked in the manual, but wanted a little more information. I went to radio shack and found an adapter. Now my question is what should the tip polarity be, + or - ? anyone know?

The tip polarity should be positive.

I just hooked up my new 950 and 755 using the 950's trigger output into the 755. Should the power light on the 755 be switching on/off with the trigger input or will it always stay in the lighted (on) position and just switch the circuitry on/off?

That is correct. On the 755 and the 770, the light stays on whenever the standby button is depressed and the circuit breaker on back is not tripped.
Best,
Scott
