I just this week received my 950 pre-amp
and have it hooked to my Adcom GFA-555 amp and NHT 2.5i's. I find the sound rather lean and bright, I am now considering the 755 amp
to replace the 555, does anyone have a comment on the 950/755 sound??

I have the NHT 2.9's with a 950/755 combo and it sounds great. I find that using the DAC's in the 950 is a little dry compared to the DAC's in my CD player. But, I don't find it to be bright at all. My experience with NHT is the aluminum dome tweeter can be a little harsh if the sources (i.e. cd player, dvd player etc..) feeding the speaker are of low quality. Meaning, trash in equals trash out. Also, with my NHT's I spent hours getting the placement correct, as even a little movement can make a big difference. Most people have felt the Outlaw combination to be pretty neutral in it's presentation.
