I like walking into a really high end store to demo a sub and then pull out Dr. Dre 2001 and see the look that the salesmen gives me. I forget the track that I used to use, but a lot of songs on that cd have some intense and quick bass. If it can handle that well, then surely it will be able to do the other stuff that I listen to. There is nothing quite like the look that a guy gives you when you blast some offensive rap in his ear, when he has been listening to very precise instrumental music all day.

"Quick" bass is realy a misnomer. The "quick" element is in reality composed of higher frequencies above 100Hz or so, and these have nothing to do with bass extension or damping ability.

But I'm sure you already knew that.....

I guess you two have ironed out the feud you had in DIY IC cable thread? If so, that’s good because I consider both of you as value to the saloon and would hate to see any one of you walk out.

nice to see sh responding to my threads again (LOL!), perhaps "quick" was not exactly the best word to describe what i meant. what i meant was quick transitions between bass elements, instead of a bass line that is more subtle. perhaps you describe this as "punchy"? its always nice to be valued....
