Since then, I've purchased a few CDs, but I can't find a version that I like. Every one I have bought sounded thin and uninspired.

Could anyone recommend a good recording of this? I found a bunch on Amazon. The most promising one looks like a recording by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.

I think I have a good recording; not sure at the moment who recorded it. (It's in the other room.) If you like, you may borrow it to determine if it's the recording for you.
