Well I notice that the sound from the surrounds is quite faint when in "natural" mode, but I do get some sound. Try turning your surrounds to large and see what happens.

my natural mode is completly opposite. i get very loud response from them. so high somtimes i need to turn the rears down some. puzzling though. my jazz,stadium and hall have way to much reverb.

Thanks for the replies, folks. The surrounds came back 3 days ago. This problem didn't bother me that much because I still prefer 2-channel when listening to music. It is still a puzzle to me. The very first time I played NATURAL mode (the day my 1050 came), the first thing I noticed is that it is LOUDER than normal STEREO and I posted it in the forums. My speakers are all NHTs so efficiency of the surrounds is not in question here. I will be doing more tests and if this happen again, I will send it for a replacement. Again, thanks everyone.
