Wow. The wife was out and I was playing around with some CDs and the 1050 we got in December. I had no idea that this thing went up to 80! I don't think I ever had it above 50. Anyway, at about 70 I began to grow worried for my speakers. I've got half a dozen Ascend Acoustics CBM-170s (4-ohm jobs). Does anyone play the 1050 at 80? Do I have anything to worry about with my speakers? I know they're warrantied, but I hate the hassle with fixing stuff. BTW - The 1050 sounds incredible, especially when the wife steps out.

Never had it up to 80 but have been to the mid seventies. Good clean power never hurts a thing ( as long as your speakers can take
the watts). Thats why I love this thing. I can make my speakers really sing and not dammage my speakers
