any idea which month?

i was hoping by march. oh well. might have to settle and go with a denon AV. for my uncles HT room.

I would look at the Emotiva receiver before Denon. Most reviews/comparisons I've read say it sounds better. I've also read the included separate HDMI switch which also works well. I'm in the same boat. I've been waiting and really wanting the next 990 but how long is it going to be? I gave my old Kenwood system to my parents and now have nothing but speakers. I want to go with Outlaw but I'm begining to look at Emotiva more and more. I will probably still go with an Outlaw power amp.

The Emotiva's HDMI switch is functionally identical to the 990's DVI switching (video only), so it's no more of an "HDMI" unit than the 990 - and if gooomz is waiting for the "new 990" then he's most likely doing so because he wants either HDMI v1.1 or v1.3 support.
