THE NEXT 990 PREAMP/PROCESSOR.
I've put together a list of most of the requests found on the Next Gen 990 thread. I've excluded some things like the Media PC and Card Based solutions. Why? Once you add those, you're entering into a entirely new realm of preprocessor. There will be plenty of solutions in the next few years that will provide this functionality while leaving your processor to do what it's meant to do, process signals. If you really want this then look into a Next Gen console, Microsoft Media Center, MythTV or a AppleTV.
I left out the Card Based solutions because it's a whole other ballgame again. There's already a solution if you must have that feature, but the next generation 990 will probably handle the majority of what you need for the coming years.
Some of the things within the list may be duplicates. There were several requests that are over my head. There may be things missing as well.
What I'd like to do is have people copy the list and add an astrix to things they want the most.

A lot of this can be consolidated because there's some overlap. I think you could just say, "support for all HD codecs via HDMI v1.3a/b" instead of listing each one. Perhaps if Gonk has time he could do that. If there are any glaring omissions, please add them with a note.
Much of what I see seems to be fine-tuning and High Definition Audio and Video support. Obviously if Outlaw implemented a lot of HD componentry, they would have to increase the price. However, I think most people would expect the price to increase with such grand specifications. It would be one hell-of-a Preprocessor.
