Base model with 2 digital inputs (one coax, one optical).
Add a very high quality (upsampling/oversampling) DAC, etc., - price it $100 to $150 more than the base option...
(look at Bryston - allows for a DAC option to their preamps and integrated amps , though that is very expensive at $1000 for the DAC..)
Why?
Lot of people have CD/DVD players laying around. Most have very "average" sound coming out of the analog ports. This option will let people connect any player digitally to the RR 2150.
People who have very good CD players can still buy the base model.
I would happily pay $800 for a RR 2150D...
