A 300x5 (forget 7 channels) will weigh 110lbs+. Do you really want something that heavy (+ think about the power requirement).

Perhaps, a better alternative is a more powerful version of the mono blocks... a Model 2400 anyone?????

There was design work done on a 300Wx7 amp (the Model 790), which would have had two separate power supplies that would each have needed a separate electrical circuit in order for the amp to get enough current to reach full output. It was a monster, but it ran into problems with heat rejection and was reportedly sent back to the drawing board for a re-design.

I think if Outlaw wanted they could get together with ATI as they did on all the current multi-channel amps and offer a version of ATI's 3000 amp. It is 300 watts per channel at 8 ohms and can be configured between two and seven channels.

OR they could design (or license the design like they do with ATI) a DIGITAL amp. It is certainly possible to do 5 or 7 X 300W with a digital amp and not have something that's a boat anchor due to the vastly increased efficiency.

Best,
