I have been looking around recently at speaker cables and noticed that while there are several boutique and discount brand cables there is still a lot of room in the marketplace for a company like Outlaw to provide good quality speaker cables at a good price. They have already started down this path with the interconnects, optical, and sub cables. I could certainly do to upgrade my speaker cables (mains/center) for less than $3-400. Also a shorter outlaw SUB cable would be useful too. ------------------ Stott

Yes, speaker cables would be a nice addition to the Outlaw product lineup. I have some of their interconnects and would welcome speaker cables as well.
While they are at it, they may as well go whole-hog and offer AC line cords. Some of the "high-end" offerings of AC line cords do seem as though the actuall cable has shielding and filtering capabilities beyond the usuall three (unshielded) conductor cable. I just refuse to pay the outrageous prices ($300/meter or more) that these companies are asking.

I agree. High performance speaker cables, and power cords, at a good price, would be a welcome addition. I am slowly changing out other brands of cables for Outlaw cables. I'm about 70% there.

12 gauge oxygen-free copper speaker wire / lamp cord from Home Depot. Buy it and use it in any length. Donate the difference between its cost, and some "designer" cable, to charity. At least the money would be doing some good and serving some purpose - in my opinion.

you should buy what makes you happy. i would not be happy with "lampcord" from the depot, unless of course i was making a lamp. i for one would hope that outlaw focuses on more important things than adding wire to its lineup, like coming out with new models!

Just out of curiosity, what about the 12gu OFC wire would you be unhappy with? -Joe ------------------ Remember the Intellivision? http://www.gotmaille.com/nostalgia/

I can think of a few possible cases. - I want to run inside the wall. It's not UL approved for that
- I have a very very long run, and/or a tough load to drive, and need lower Re.
Other than that, I can't think of anythig reasonable off the top of my head. Certainly nothing to do with sound.

At this point in my life, sound while probably the most important thing (home theatre wise) , is not the only thing. I have a WAF to account for. The nice looking and performing outlaw cables provide that for me. Nice mesh covered cables provide me with an easy way to bundle and look good while doing so. I have a little extra money, not a lot of extra time to build my own. I am willing to pay for convienience.
Otherwise, I would have a run like I did in my bedroom when I was 17. Nice clear OFC RatShack Cable strung around the room.
Nice cables tend to look better and allow for (me anyway) easier cable management
