I have s Sony TA-P9000ES and think it is great.

However, I would replace it in a minute with a product of similar quality but with more inputs. Also, 5.1 channels is a bit dated. The replacement should have at least 7.1 channel capability, or more to allow for the next level or two of surround channel "growth".

I would also prefere the "KISS" approach. Just input selection, direct bypass selection (where the selected input goes directly to the output with no volume control) and a volume control is fine with me.
