I am sitting here, bored, which leads to trouble for me.

Does anyone think Outlaw might make an amp/amps that have a little more power?

My Deftechs, according to most benchtests I've seen, run around 5 ohms throughout most of the audio spectrum. Obviously at times, it dips lower, and then raises. But nothing wrong with wanting more power

I'd be very interested in an amp that would say, run at 300 watts @ 8 ohms, and 400 or 450 @ 4 ohms. Be it a monoblock or a multi-channel version, wouldn't matter to me

Just trying to start conversation so don't attack me with engineering terms. My BP30 mains are just loafing along with the 200's. I feel they would be even better with more juice is all. A friend in New York is putting 500 watts to each of his BP30's and he said they are unbelievable with that much wattage.

I read the newsletter we received a few weeks ago and when I read they were bringing out 3 more products by Fall, I immediately thought of possibly an amp with more power. Can ya blame me?

I look forward to your responses...now time to go listen to some music.

I agree, and it would fit in with the existing line. I'd like to see a 350-500 watt stereo amp that was bridgable to 800-1500 watts mono. That way it could actually sorta fill two power slots.

I too would like to see a monoblock or stereo amp with a bit more juice available than the 200. When the 200 was announced I was kind of hoping it would be a bit bigger than it turned out to be.

I guess if they wanted to do something 'on the cheap' maybe they could make a stereo version of the 700 series amps that was 200 watts, bridgeable to 600 (Model 720?).

Well I hope they read this because I know I am not the only one who would like an amp with a ton of power.

The Outlaws, in my opinion, have covered all bases. They have the 7100, average power and a whopping 7 channels. Then the 755, 5 channels and twice the Ooomph of the 7100. The 770 adds 2 more channels but same power across the board. And the 200 monos, same power as the previous.

I would love to see a new line of a monoblock model, a 5 channel model, and Yes, a 7 channel model. All putting out ATLEAST 300 per channel at 8 0hms. That would excite me like a little kid at Christmas indeed

I have a feeling they might do this down the road, but it'll be to late for me. I have been doing some research on some other brands of amps. The 200's are excellent but I just cant stop thinking that I could use almost double thier output.

I will wait 3 to 4 more months before making a decision, and ya never know...maybe we will get a newsletter that unveils a more powerful amplifier. Believe me, I would rather stick with all Outlaw gear. But life isn't that simple.

The Adcom 7 channel is looking mighty sexy putting out 300 at 8 ohms and 450 at 4 ohms. If Outlaw made something to that effect, I'd pass out from excitement

Any more opinions?

Doubling the power would only give a barely noticeable gain in output, and a factor of 1.5 is going to be hard to notice. IMO unless you're going to bump up to the 500+ watt zone there's little benefit for most folks between 200 and 300-400 watts except bragging rights.

It's all about peace of mind for me Charlie. I'd rather be putting 400 to them instead of 200 is all

The possibility is there..and I know it won't do anything for Volume. But as per my 2 friends that have the same speakers, they really opened up when they started giving them 4 and 500 watts each.

I'd be willing to shell out $2,000.00 to $2,300.00 for such an Outlaw amp.

I wouldn't mind seeing a 500x2 or 500x3 into 8ohm amp. In fact, I'd buy one. Even better, both.

I couldn't agree more Matthew. I seriously hope this becomes a reality down the road.

I'd buy as many is it takes to fill the 7 channel spot

I think they should come out with some of the following:
5100 - 5 * 100
2200 - 2 * 200
3200 - 3 * 200
maybe even
2100 - 2 * 100
3100 - 3 * 100

Though I think the monoblocks make up for the 2/3 channel market but I think the 5100 would be a great buy for many people that don't want 7 channel amp and don't want to spend the money on the 7100...maybe the 5100 could go for like $699. I mean they already have the 7 channel just convert it into a 5 channel amp. That with the 950 would be a great combo for many people including myself that are on tighter budgets.

If the current products had some bridgable channels it would open up configurations too, for instance:

770 could be:
  • 7x200
  • 3x600 + 1x200
  • 2x600 + 3x200

And similarly the 7100 could be:
  • 7x100
  • 3x230 + 1x100
  • 2x230 + 3x100
