I was wondering if anyone had experience pushing NHT 1.3a speakers with the 1050. I upgraded my speakers and will be giving my old ones to my college age son. 4 1.3a for mains and surround and a 1.1c center channel plus my old powered sub. The NHTs are pretty inefficient and was using a Sunfire Cinema Grand for power. Will the 1050 have enough for these? Thanks

I am using NHT 2.3a with the 1050 and it's doing just fine. Are you sure it's a 1.3 or is it 1.5?

They are 1.3a speakers. They were the series just prior to the 1.5. (actually the 1.5s were announced a few weeks after I got my 1.3a's.) Sonically I had a very difficult time hearing a difference between the 1.3a and 1.5 line in side by side comparison that I was able to do with a friend. Thanks for the information. I will be ordering him a 1050 shortly (That is IF grades warrant!) I currently use 2.5i NHTs for my mains and just love them.

Lucky dog. I wish I had the cash for a 1050. I think I'm gonna have to settle for a Onkyo TS500. It probably won't sound as good but I'll save over 200$. Oh well
