Ok, I cant' wait. The Tv is set up- new Phillips 55". The speakers are adequate I hope, (more to follow) all I need is the amp. Here's my speaker issue. I currently own a lot of speakers! I have two Phase Tech speakers that I bought in 1985 that I always thought sounded great. A pair of Cambridge Soundworks Ensemble II's that I thought would be an upgrade to the latter but were'nt. (Paid full price too!) and some Bose somethings or others. All the advise I read told me that I need to match speakers as best I can and since I didn't own a center, I bought some more Cambrige Sounworks Speakers through Ebay at a very good price. I got an Ensemble III package without a Sub. Now I plan on using the original CSW II's as L/R's and the III's as surrounds and the ones that were meant to be surrounds as center sourrounds. Still no sub yet. Need more cash. What do you think of this plan? Room is 18'x13'. How should I use the center surrounds? Just wire one? Wire two in parallel? series? I'm new to all this. I need help!!!!!!!!! hehe. And to think, just over a year ago I lived about 5 miles from Outlaw headquarters and didn't know it.

Anyone else have any experience with CSW speakers? I know there not the best but it's a cheap way out for now. I plan on getting an Adire Audio Riva Subwoofer to complete the setup.

I started with CSW speakers based on a Consumer Reports review (what did I know?). I had the Ensemble III, blew them up, traded them to CSW for the Ensemble II, Center Channel Plus, Surround II's, and Bass Cube 12. Not a bad starter system and easily filled my 24X16 room. If it were me, I'd just wire one of the center surrounds. I couldn't tell if you had a center channel. If not, use your left over satellite for that for now. I don't know about the subwoofer you mentioned..I don't recall hearing about it. FWIW, don't overlook an SVS. I did find that those CSW's can be difficult to integrate with a sub.
Good luck !!!

I have the CSW Towers for my mains, Center Stage for my center and Newton 300's for my rear surrounds. I love the sound with the 1050!!! I do think that the speakers designed by Henry Kloss do sound better that the ones that were designed after Creative Soundlabs ought them out.
