Hey everyone,

Just a quick note to say, I took the plunge! I ordered my 1050 this afternoon (not before noon EDT unfortunately ). I debated this decision in my mind for about a week though. The main competition was a refurbbed HK 320 for basically the same price. In the end, customer service won me over. I've read a lot about how good the CS is here, particularly with regards to the 950 issues tha have cropped up lately. I'm buying this because the Pioneer "Elite" I receiver I have died 2 months out of warranty as a result of a well documented design defect. I was SOL since I bought from an unauthorized online dealer so I figured I wouldn't make that mistake again.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to spending much time this weekend tinkering with my new toy!

PS. Sorry, but that Mad-faced smilie was supposed to appear in the text of my message, not in the subject area!

Welcome to the outlaw family!
I have had my 1050 for about two weeks and I could not be happier with it. I am still tinkering around with it. I believe you made the right choice.

Welcome to the clan! Let us know how ya like your 1505 (I love mine) or if ya have any questions.

Edit: Oops! That's what I get for typing with one hand while having multiple distractions in the room... should read 1050, not 1505.

You made a wise choice. I've had mine since February and am very pleased with it.
Good Luck!

I think you are going to be very happy with the 1050. I was able to watch my first movie in DTS yesterday? WOW! It wont take you long to realize you got a big bang for your buck

OK, now I have to go through that unbearable period where I wait for the goods to arrive! Hopefully tomorrow. Thanks to everyone for the encouraging words. I'll report back after a few days of use!

The Tustin lifestyle seems to be agreeable to my new 1050 Have had it now for 2 weeks and would have to say it's been a great purchase. I'm particularly happy with how the few programs that are broadcast in DD 5.1 over DirecTV have sounded. Right now I'm running NHT's all around: Superones with a Supercenter across the front and Superzeroes in back along with a 10" JBL powered sub sittin' in the corner of the room. I'm a happy camper right now! With a 30 day money back guarantee, its pretty hard to say no.
