I happened to be flipping through the latest issue of Sound & Vision Magazine and saw and ad for the upcoming NAD 752 receiver. I noticed that the receiver has a green power button like the Outlaw. HHHMMMMMM, coinicidence? What do you guys think, is there a link between the two, or am I reading too much into this?

I think some people have mentioned before that some of the Outlaw crew worked for NAD at one point, so there is a link of some sort.

Different shade of green though. My NAD amp is, how do I say it, Camo-e color.

The faceplate on the 950 is a dead ringer
for a new pre-pro from Atlantic Technology.
Looks like it has the exact feature set and
exact front panel layout. It also has a list
price about 50% higher than the Outlaw piece.

Leads to the speculation that the Taiwanese
manufacturer has more than one customer. Also may be a reason we are still waiting
for the 950. Could be the price is too out
of whack for them to release it. It does not, however, have a green button.

You are exactly correct, eddyboy -- the Atlantic Technology is one of at least two clones of the Model 950 (probably more before the year is out). Outlaw worked with Eastech to develop the Model 950, and to help defer development costs they have allowed Eastech to manufacture re-badged "clones." This has not caused any delays in the 950, however. In fact, Outlaw has said that their agreement with Eastech included the provision that none of the clones could ship until a set period of time after the 950 begins shipping. The higher retail price of the Atlantic Tech is at least partly due to their sales channel: they sell through brick-and-mortar retailers, which means there has to be a middle-man markup.

I have an old NAD 7100X stereo receiver. It has a green power button.
