Hair dryer.

The house was built in '54, and the circuit in question starts next to the range (microwave and toaster oven). It runs around the exterior wall of the kitchen (refrigerator), along the two exterior walls of the living room (entertainment center, three lamps, cell phone charger), serves the bathroom (hair dryer or curling iron), and stops with one of the three receptacles in the master bedroom (alarm clock). Having that circuit intermittently on and off as we dropped and re-gained that phase was absolutely maddening.
