I pick up a Panasonic DMP-DB30 today at my local Circuit City. I've hooked it up to my Sony Ruby and gave Ratatouille a try. After I got the sound working correctly, it was awesome. Load time seems fast, and 3:2 pulldown (thanks gonk for the educational info) seems to work great. I'll post more after I've had time to watch Ocean's 13 and Spiderman 1 - 3.

My only trouble so far was with sound. My processor (B&K Reference 20) couldn't stay locked to the Dolby Digital. The sound kept dropping out as the processor switched back and forth between 5.1 and 2 ch stereo. I swapped out the B&K with my Denon AVR-1706 and it had no problem staying locked to the 5.1. I think as soon as the outlaws come out with the next-gen 990 I'll upgrade. The Denon needs to go back downstairs to drive the zone 2 speakers on the patio. smile

If anyone has any specific questions about the BD30, I'll try to answer as best I can.
