I was looking in the manual and it recommends plugging the 1050 into it's own circuit. Does everyone do that? If so, where do you plug in the TV, DVD, subwoofer, etc.

Thanks,

Wes

I have to confess, mine is on the same power strip with my TV, DVD, satellite receiver, VCR, and CD player. I've never had any problems.

Currently (ouch! bad pun! ), I have almost everything plugged into one dedicated 20 amp outlet via a Monster HTS5000 power center.

"Almost" everything includes Outlaw 1050, Outlaw 750, 36" TV, LDP, DVDP, SVHS. The powered subwoofer (Boston Acoustics PV-1000) is plugged into a separate 15 amp line.

You shouldn't have any problems plugging the 1050 in with your other componenets. If the circuit breaker trips then there is too much stuff drawing current off the circuit.

Until recently, I had a single 20A circuit for my 1050, 750, TV, CD, VCR, cable, refrigerator, microwave, couple of lamps, and the hair dryer in the bathroom. Worked pretty well until the service to the house screwed up and I lost an entire phase to the house (including that one heavily-loaded circuit). I currently have the entire entertainment center (1050, 750, small amp for center surround, TV, and the rest) on a single 20A circuit all by itself.

Hair dryer.

The house was built in '54, and the circuit in question starts next to the range (microwave and toaster oven). It runs around the exterior wall of the kitchen (refrigerator), along the two exterior walls of the living room (entertainment center, three lamps, cell phone charger), serves the bathroom (hair dryer or curling iron), and stops with one of the three receptacles in the master bedroom (alarm clock). Having that circuit intermittently on and off as we dropped and re-gained that phase was absolutely maddening.
