Can you program Macros on the 1050 remote like the RS 15-1994? If so can you program it to turn on/off multiple devices at once and adjust your settings? Also, does it have the learning ability like the RS for devices that are not in its library. I know it has the search button but I was looking for custom commands. Or is it just a scaled down oem version of the RS?

The 1050's remote is not a direct clone of the 15-1994, although it is related. It is an OEM remote from UEI ). It does not support macros or learning. It does support the 15-1994's volume punch through code. Also, if you want an interesting trick, selecting an input from the remote when the 1050 is off will turn it on and switch to that input (this acts as a "discrete on" for the 1050).

It is possible to program macros, but only using JP1.
