Just curious if this makes sense. I am interested in the above tv. Sams club has what looks to be the same tv but with a different model# with a lower retail price than most but not as low as what you can get at one call. I read somewhere that sony provides diff model#'s to warehouse clubs where customers pay menbership fees to offer lower prices. The logic is so that price matching could not be done with some of sonys other distributors like Circuit city, Best Buy, or Sears. It sounds logical but is it the same tv?

You might try and find the owners manual on-line(or may be at Sams) to see if it shows that it is for more than one model number. It's been around 10 years ago that I bought an inexpensive Sony receiver from Sears. The owners manual showed that it was for like 4 different model numbers. One number was the model number sold at Sears, one of the others was a model number that was sold at Montgomery Wards. Good Luck.

Costco sells the KDL-46V2500 as the KDL-46V25L1 so I wouldn't be surprised if the model at Sam's Club is the same one.

I just did a quick search on the AVS forum in the "Sony 40" KDL-40V2500 and 46" KDL-46V2500 HDTV Thread" for 'Sam's club' and saw several posts mentioning model number KDL-4625V1. Is this the model number you saw?

Sony KDL46V25L1 is how the model number shows on the sams club website. It looks to be the same model. This saves about 500.00 from the sonystyle.com website and the lowest price I could find (2300.00)not including shipping was not too far off. That way I could buy it at Sams and return it with much less hassle if it did not work out. Thanks for the info
