I received my 1050 a week ago and I love it!! The first thing I noticed about the sound was that it was calm in the higher frequencies and there is lots of power. There is no comparison to the offensive brightness of the Sony STR D515 I was running before I bought the 1050. The Sony is rated at 75 watts per channel. That's a good one. They quote a 40 to 20,000 hz frequency range at 0.8% THD. What a scam. There really is no comparison.
Anyway, to answer your question, there was no duty on the 1050, and since I live in Alberta, total taxes came to 7% (we have no PST). You should know that customs brokerage fees are about equal to the GST. So all-in fees on top of what Outlaw charges were Cdn $115.
Unless something goes wrong with the 1050 in the next three weeks, it's definitely a keeper.
