Has anyone had any experience with a model 755 or 770 and Martin Logan? The Vantage are rated @4 ohms. I know the ML go to 1 ohm at 20KHZ. Just wanting to know if the 755 would have any problem driving them. Also is anyone using an Outlaw amp to drive any model Martin Logan? Any feedback, good or bad, would be great.

Thanks,
Fletcher

There are actually some ML owners around here, as I recall, so hopefully there will be some additional replies here. I've got a friend driving his ML center with an Outlaw Model 7100 (a ML Cinema; his Aeon I's are on a Classe two-channel amp that he bought before he got the 950/7100 combo), and I've heard of several systems using Model 770's or 755's driving ML systems. A Model 755 should have no problem driving Vantages.

Thanks Gonk. I did not think it would be a problem but wanted some feed back from someone that has a ML set-up or has listened to a friends set-up. I listened to the Vantage about 2 months ago and fell in love with them. I am going to listen to the Gallo Ref 3.1 in a few weeks then make my choice.
Thanks again Gonk.

I had ML Vantage's on the 990 w/ a 7700 but am now running the ML Summits. I can drive either speaker to an uncomfortable volume level or to infinity and beyond (popping and clipping all the way). For the money the Outlaw gear does an admirable job. I'm currently in the process of trying the speakers with Simaudio product, a pair of W7M monoblocks and the P8 preamplifier.

Fletcher, I drive my ML (RL: reQuest, C: Cinema) with the Outlaw 7500 (5x200) and love it. Prior to the Outlaw 7500 I had:
- Yamaha 2092 receiver
- Classe CAV-75 (6x75)
- Outlaw 7125

The CAV-75 was a necessary step up from the 2092 and the Outlaw 7125 was a slight improvement sonically over the CA-75. It wasn't until I upgraded to the 7500 that the reQuests really opened up. When I hooked up the 7500 my reaction was "Wow!". I am _extremely_ pleased with this amp.

btw, with all the amps (not the 2092), I bi-amped the reQuests. During a blind listening test with the CAV-75, I tried the following configurations for each reQuest:
- 1x75w
- bridged 150w (2x75)
- bi-wired (2x75)
- bi-amped (2x75)

I liked the bi-amped configuration the best. Now with the 7500, I still bi-amp the reQuests although it's really just a carryover from the CAV-75 configuration at this point. Now that I'm thinking about it, I may do a quick test tonight to see if a single 7500 channel is sufficient or whether I'll stick with the bi-amp configuration.

Thanks guys for the feedback. Now I have to make time to get to my dealer and give another listen. I first demoed the Vantage with Anthem AVM 30 and an Anthem amp, not sure which amp. It has been a few months since I listened to the Vantages. I hope they are broken in now, as they were only a week or so old when I demoed. Thanks again guys.

I use the 7500 with 2 Vantages and a Cinmea i. Very good sound in stereo and also very good multichannel.
