Fletcher, I drive my ML (RL: reQuest, C: Cinema) with the Outlaw 7500 (5x200) and love it. Prior to the Outlaw 7500 I had:
- Yamaha 2092 receiver
- Classe CAV-75 (6x75)
- Outlaw 7125
The CAV-75 was a necessary step up from the 2092 and the Outlaw 7125 was a slight improvement sonically over the CA-75. It wasn't until I upgraded to the 7500 that the reQuests really opened up. When I hooked up the 7500 my reaction was "Wow!". I am _extremely_ pleased with this amp.
btw, with all the amps (not the 2092), I bi-amped the reQuests. During a blind listening test with the CAV-75, I tried the following configurations for each reQuest:
- 1x75w
- bridged 150w (2x75)
- bi-wired (2x75)
- bi-amped (2x75)
I liked the bi-amped configuration the best. Now with the 7500, I still bi-amp the reQuests although it's really just a carryover from the CAV-75 configuration at this point. Now that I'm thinking about it, I may do a quick test tonight to see if a single 7500 channel is sufficient or whether I'll stick with the bi-amp configuration.
