I don't think any of us realized it at the time, but the Outlaw Saloon celebrated a milestone just a few weeks ago. The forum officially opened its "doors" around the beginning of March 2001, making it five years old this month. In those five years we've had more than 50,000 posts, over 4,200 registered users, the release of at least 16 new products (if my brief count is accurate - more if you count the various cables, the furniture, and the Outlaw gear), plenty of interesting discussions, and a few silly ones . I've been fortunate enough to have been around for pretty much all of those last five years, and look forward to hanging out here for years to come.

Outlaw, thanks for opening your virtual doors to us and letting us mingle here. (The array of fun home theater toys are also appreciated, by the way.) Gunslingers, I think we've got a community to be proud of. Now, let's see what the next five years bring...

What a way to celebrate my 500th post! Although, that pales in comparison to Gonk almost reaching another milestone, the big 6K!!!

Congratulations Outlaw! I believe I said two years ago I wasn't sure of your future. Its not the first time I have been wrong. Thanks for providing us this forum so I could make such silly predictions.

Hey, this is freaky. The five year warranty on my trusty 1050 runs out in June. Coincidence?

Many thanks to Outlaw from my humble abode as well! I've enjoyed the fun and found much of the information posted here in this forum very useful. It seems like the Outlaws are getting a pretty good rep online and I think this forum is a big part of the reason. Oh sure, I suppose one could argue that the reason is because they make quality gear affordable, and with good reason. But it doesn't matter how good a product is, if nobody knows about it, they won't buy it.

Boy do I feel silly.

I just stumbled across a comment gonk made in another thread and had to double-check myself. Sure enough, my 1050 has been out of warranty for almost three years. I have NO idea why I thought it was a five year warranty. Maybe because it just works so well.
