Ok, this should work but I won't try it for a couple of weeks and it requires an extra amp or receiver.
1. CD into 5.1 stereo in.
2. Main speakers set on large, though it doesn't matter in direct mode.
3. Line level pre-amp stereo out to second amp or reciever. When I try it will be an Onkyo receiver with its own line level sub out and a set cross-over of 100Hz
4. Sub out of second amp/reciever and use the internal cross-over on the sub to set to taste.
5. Play in direct mode.
Should give full main speakers plus the proper lower frequencies through the sub once calibrated.
