Normally, I'm not THAT budget conscious about audio/video gear. However, I've been directed by the alpha female to pick up a TV for the kids. 8-)

I'm thinking along the lines of a wall mounted (out of harm's way) 37" LCD screen. I buy a lot of gear from PC Connection for my company so I can get the Syntax Olevia LT37HVE for about $1200 with my discount. Anyone here ever seen one of these in use for home theater?

The specs look pretty attractive for that price. For the audio section, I'm just going to redeploy my Logitech Z-5500

that I was using for my laptop at work. And I'll probably throw in some inexpensive DVD player with a DVD-I output.

Any suggestions would be welcome. The idea is to have it be nice enough and somewhat "kid resistant" which is why I'm not really considering a home theater receiver or a more mainstream flat screen display.
