Being a software guy, I don't get out much into the world of hardware, specifically power conditioners and regenerators. PurePower has introduced a new unit that converts the AC to DC and back to AC again.(http://www.avrev.com/splashpage/audiophileaps.html)

Is this a benefit or pure hype?

I currently have a Panamax 5500 and I can notice a difference when it's pulled out of the loop. This is my second Panamax and no complaints on this end. However, if there is an improvement to be made with a small investment (relatively speaking) then I can take a chance and do some comparo shopping. Any insight on the "reality" of dual power conversion would be great.

Regeneration is the best way to do it but you did look at the prices, right?

There is an increased investment going from the PAN to PP. I can't decipher if the dual conversion of the power is worth it or not?
