I just ordered the SVS PB-12 Ultra in cherry finish today. I can't wait to get it. It's my gift to myself for being gone on a 4-month TDY. Anyone else here have a SVS sub? How do you like it?

I used to have a 25-31PCi from SVS before I replaced it with my LFM-1 - not quite the same price range in either case as the PB-12 Ultra. I suspect you'll enjoy it.

Yes, I certainly hope so. I changed the veneer option to rosewood, as I'm probably going to get some Rockets eventually.

I have been using SVS PC-12 ultra for several months. It is an amazing sub. The bass extention is phenominal. If the PB is as good as the PC you should be pleased. The rosewood cabinets should be stunning. The fabric on the pc's is fine but it is not that visually appealing. But then again my HT room is pretty plain jane, so the pc-12 ultra fits in nicely. The only problem is I need to remove some rattling items from the walls. This sub can put out a lot of low end. Enjoy

Glad to hear that. I hemmed and hawed (are those really words?) a lot before deciding. I knew I wanted SVS, but not sure which model.

I have the svs 20-39i, I was greatly impressed with this sub. it will positively shake your molars.I live in a mobile home and more than once my neighbors have asked what I was doing to produce such low bass(sound travels thru my walls easily).

They're telling me (SVS) it won't be built until the end of May, as they're awaiting new enclosures. But, just as well, as I still haven't received the email offering me the ability to buy the 990. Hopefully, I'll end up getting the two around the same time. I did take advantage of AV123's xmas in May and ordered a pair of the Rocket 550's to use in front, a pair of 150's for the sides and a RSC100, all in rosewood, so it should look nice. I'll keep my dipole Polks in the rear surrounds position for now. I guess I'll flip the switch on those to Bipole mode once it's all hooked up.

I purchased SVS PC Ultra last October which replaced Klipsch SW12. After that, I also made diy sub using Acendant Audio Avalanche 18" driver. Although I hooked both subs into my HT setup, I rarely had any reason to powered them both up. Either one of them has plenty of clean bass to satisfy my taste. PB Ultra 12 was one of the model that I was considering to purchase at that time. I am sure by now you are enjoying your new SVS sub but if you haven't tried yet, try experimenting various tuning option for your sub. I was pleasantly surprised how different tuning options gave me to satisfy either HT or plain music listening choice. This would have been very happy ending except now I can't crank my HT nor music very loud due to where I currently live. I used to live in central Texas in big brick house where no matter how loud I play my HT, sound doesn't travel to my neighbors' home at all. Unfortunately or fortunately depending how you look at it, I had to relocate to Hawaii due to my job. Many people consider living in Hawaii is paradise, but for me, it is mediocre at best with anybody who shares our hobby. The house where my family moved now is not only much smaller than our Texas home, we have to open almost all our windows for cool breeze and neighbors homes are right next to each other which you can hear just about every little noise. This means I can no longer crank my HT sound at all if I wanted to live in this neighborhood peacefully. Anyway enough of my complaints (although the weather is beautiful here at Hawaii), to fully appreciate your new SVS sub, you have to give it at least a try at full dolby reference volume level (after calibration of course). As for my current HT setup, I still have my SVS PC Ultra in box due to lack of space in the house, what a shame! Hopefully I can relocate back to Texas in few years. Enjoy your new sub and I would love to hear your comments about the SVS PB Ultra-12.

Hello,
I have a 2039+ cylinder in a living room about 12'x15' and it has way more than enough power for us. The gain is around 11:00 for music and 1:00 for movies. To control the shaking and tighten up the bass it is on spikes and a concrete pad.
The red one you have is beautiful! If I were to ever get another it would be a box sub just so it could be used as an end table and maybe take up less space.
