My 950/7100/LFE combo is in (after years of dreaming). Tyler speakers are being built...due in a couple weeks. Cables from HaveInc.com are on their way (anybody use this?). In the meantime I'm trying to assemble this system in my head so I can hit the ground running when I get all the pieces in my hands.

I intentionally ordered LF, RF, & center speaker cable and a subwoofer interconnect that is too long. This way I have some fexability on speaker placement.

Any tips on handling the excess cable lengths? I read somewhere that it is a bad idea to coil the cables (creates an inductor). I need to have the excess wire out of sight.

Once I had my placement down, I just cut to length leaving a small amount of extra just for play. Also, routing the long way (instead of shortest route possible) will provide for extra cable consumption while still leaving room for future movement.

Coiling can be done without adding any measurable inductance to the cable - just make loose coils if you're worried about it.
