First I wanted to confirm that it is OK to connect my CD player to the 1050 via both coaxial in and CD input analog in. Then I can switch the inputs for CD between coax and analog to use the DACs in the 1050 and my Denon respectively.

Second has anybody found a better code then the one listed in the Outlaw 1050 manual for an RCA DirectTV receiver. The problem I have is that with the listed code it only changes channels down and not up. I was just checking before I try a code search with the remote.

Answer to first question: Yes, it's fine to do (I'm doing it now).

Answer to second question: Try Hi-Fi Remote (one of the ones Lena mentioned above) for a wider selection of codes for the 1050's remote, you may find one that works for you. Remote Central may not help as much, as it doesn't have as much on the family of remotes the 1050's remote comes from.
